मैं सोचता हू की ये तारीख हमेशा आने से पहले जद्दोजहद में क्यू टक-टक करते रहती हैं. कस्मकस यूँ की दिन भर में कई बार ऐसा लगे की बाबू कुछ तो भुलर रहा हैं. पर क्या? कुछ तो ख़ास बात हैं आज. पर क्या. अट्ठाइस दिसम्बर. रात में जब मम्मी से फ़ोन में देश-खबरी-कानून-हिसाब बतिया लिए, और लाइन बस काटना ही था तो उन्होंने बम फोड़ा की "आज पापा का जन्मदिन पड़ता हैं". रात के दस बजे हैं मतलब की पूरा दिन गुजर गया. पापा तो थोड़ी देर में सो भी जायेंगे. ये हाल पिछले साल भी था और उसके पिछले साल भी. अब क्या कहे क्यू याद नहीं रहता. किसी ने याद भी नहीं दिलाया. बावन साल के हो गए पापा. जन्मदिन की हार्दिक शुभकामनायें. तोहफा ये की अब अगली बार से नहीं भूलेंगे. ये फोटो करीब चार साल पहले की हैं. समय के आगे सब फेल हैं.

रात को सोने से पहले, कम्बल को सर से मुंदिया के सैय्या की गुफा में जाने से पहले, टेक्नोलॉजी का सादा सा उपयोग करके यूट्यूब में समुन्दर की लहरों का म्यूजिक चला दिए. दिसंबर का महीना चल रहा हैं और बहुतायत अधूरे सपनों की तरहा एक ये की गोवा में नया वर्ष मनाएंगे, ज़िन्दगी जब बारम्बार दगा देने लगी तो एक तरकीब सूझ लेनी पड़ी. सो हमने वॉल्यूम की गति फुल की और एकाएक आँख बंद करते ही गोवा के समुन्दर किनारे वाले रिसोर्ट में पहुंच गए. खुद से एक मासूम सा झूठ बोला पर किसी को कुछ बताये बिना रात हमने गोवा में बिता ली. सुबह आँख खुलते ही जब पुनः वास्तविकता में प्रवेश किया तो देखा की फ़ोन डिस्चार्ज होके शहीद गिरा पड़ा हैं और लहरें कुछ ऐसे रहस्यमयी ढंग से गायब हो गयी जैसे सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता गोल हो गयी थी. खैर वापस दिल्ली आना ही पड़ गया. मन किया तो कल रात दोबारा चले जायेंगे. गोवा अब दूर नहीं. आज क्रिश्मस हैं. छोटे में बड़ी सफ़ेद दाढ़ी वाले सेंटा क्लॉज़ के बारे में जाना था की वे रात में हर सोते हुए बच्चों के पास आकर उनके पसंद का एक तोहफा छोड़ जाते हैं. कुछ फिल्मो में देखा भी की वे कैसे आसमान में अपनी तोहफों से लदी गाड़ी...

आज का अख़बार पढ़ना बड़ा दुस्वार था. पन्ने पलटते-पलटते पसीना इसलिये नहीं आया क्यूकी जाड़ा जकड़े हैं और हम कम्बल ओढ़ भालू बने हैं. ऐसा नहीं की देश में हाल ही में इतनी जागरूकता और स्वर्ण समाचार का इंजन दौड़ रहा हो. दरअसल अख़बार कुछ ज्यादा दिलचस्पी से पढ़ लिया आज. कुछ ख़ास ख़बरों की बात करें तो  सर्व प्रथम किसानों को विकलांग करने की जो नयी चुनाव नीति हैं वो धरल्ले से अपनाई जा रही हैं. मैं क़र्ज़ माफ़ी की बात कर रहा हू. राजस्थान के महोदय ने फ़रमाया हैं की उन्होंने मध्यप्रदेश के दस दिन के मुकाबले दो दिन में ही यह फैसला ले लिया. मान लीजिए कुछ अठारह हजार करोड़ रुपयों से व्हील चेयर बनाई जायेगी. दूसरी ख़ास खबर हैं जिसमे बुलंदशहर के हाल ही में हुए गऊ अपवाद में मारे गए एक पुलिस अफसर के विरोध में कुछ रिटायर्ड ब्यूरोक्रेट्स बहुत चिंतित हैं. इसको लेकर उन्होंने एक पत्र जारी किया और हस्ताक्षर किये की वहा के महोदय को इस्तीफ़ा देना चाहिए. उनका कहना हैं की किसी भी समाज में पुलिस वाले का कत्लेआम एक गंभीर बात हैं. थोड़े ही दिन पहले एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ था जिसमे एक होटल में इसी राज्य के एक 'छोटे' महोदय ने पुलिस वाले क...

जबर ठण्ड पड़ रही थी. मकान से एक झोलिया लेकर चले थे जिसमे रात के भोजन के लिए पूड़ी-भाजी थी, एक पानी का बोतल, एक कम्बल, एकठो मफलर, अगले दिन के लिए कच्छा और एकठो शर्ट रख ली थी. एक कॉपी भी थी ताकि समय मिले तो रिवाइज कर लेंगे. उसके भीतर प्रवेशपत्र दबा दिए थे. उसमे लिखा था की स्टेशन से केंद्र पांच किलोमीटर दूर हैं.  सुबह स्टेशन में उतर कर पहले नहाया जायेगा. इनके साथ इनके मित्र बंटू भी थे. उसने कुछ नही रखा. बोल रहा था की परीक्षा देने जा रहे हैं, मंदिर नहीं. जूता मोजा तो हम पहने ही थे. पैर में ठंडी नहीं लगेगी. रात में सगली खिड़की बंद कर दिए और मोबाइल को चार्ज में लगा दिए. हमको बहुत ख़ुशी हुई जब हम डब्बे में चार्जिंग पॉइंट देखे. इसलिए खिड़की वाली सीट को लपक के बैठ गए. भारत तरक्की कर रहा हैं. रात में एक फ़िल्म देख लेंगे.  कम्बल निकाल के बैठ गए. ससुरा छह लोग बैठा था सीट में. ऊपर सब पैर फैलाये छत बनाये हैं. बारह लोग तो ऊपर टंगे रहे. नीचेयों एक लड़का सो रहा हैं, पैर कहा फैलाये? इ जनरल डब्बा हैं.  रात में दोनों कम्बल ओढ़ के एक दूसरे के ऊपर टिकके सो गए. बंटू का मुँह खुला था और टां...

While India is vibrating with the resignation of RBI Governor, I along with my single room and windowpanes are vibrating with the gigantic sound of the demon loudspeaker since 3 days day and night, what a tragedy! This is such a cool example of the non-regulation at the local level. See, I couldn’t type as well, it is annoying, anti-peaceful. एक कुआँ था कॉलोनी में जिसके अंदर अक्सर क्रिकेट खेलते वक़्त गेंद चली जाती थी और फिर कुछ ना कुछ जुगाड़ करना पड़ता था उसे निकालने के लिए, जो पूरा होता था एक रस्सी और एक टोकनी से. जितनी पानी की गहराई उतनी बड़ी रस्सी और उतनी समस्या जुगाड़ने की. फिर इधर-उधर से छोटी-छोटी रस्सिया जुगाड़ों और बाँध के बडी करलो. उसके बाद टोकनी को रस्सी से बाँध दो और शुरू करो मुहीम गेंद निकालने की. ये काफी दिलचस्प होता क्युकी सभी को पहले से ही कुए से डर लगता. गेंद निकलने की अपनी खुशी होती और बल्लेबाज से अनुरोध किया जाता की कृपया बल्ले की दिशा पे नियंत्रण दिया जाए, 'नहीं तो जो मारेगा, वही निकालेगा'. अंत में जिसकी गेंद उसका जिम्मा! फिर भी एक दिन में दो बार गेंद तो जाती ही थी. वैसे तो कुए में गेंद जाना मतलब आउट होना था. कई बार घरवाले लतियाते थे की कुए के पास मत जाओ. गिर विर गया तो क्या होगा, कौन निकालेगा, और निपट गए तो? कभी अंधेरा हो जाने से गेंद नहीं निकाल पाते थे तो रात भर बेचैनी होती थी की कही गेंद खो ना जाए.  कई बार ऐसे ही खेलते-खेलते आस-पास बैठ जाते थे और पानी को निहारते थे. साफ पानी होता और कुए के भीतर ...

Becoming more and more skeptic with respect to my experience with people. This is in getting the service from the people. This is when there is the transaction of money involved. This is when people lie about their commitments. This is when people try to make fool and think that it is marketing. In fact, people doing such frauds are in the cloak of ignorance that they are the better market person. It is not like that. It is the sheer absence of law and order situation that so many people are having such kind of experience of dishonesty.  Companies and industries know that neither the state is vigilant enough to look at the situation nor the people are united enough to talk for themselves and they make the best use of this fragility. We need to thank nature for her generosity and modesty in sustaining all kind of living beings in her lap. Nature is hence we are. Without nature's evolution, we all could not have evolved. We could not stop thanking her for providing us with all the natural resources but more so with the breathtaking landscape experiences, the purity of which is incomparable to any other technological innovation. I had a spider cob-webbed at the corner of the wall near my bedding. A small spider, brown in color, always remained at her place, doing nothing at all. For the last one week, I acknowledged her existence near me. I stopped feeling alone in my flat. She was always nearby at a sight distance. Sometimes with her immobility, I would think that she is dead. But then I move closer to her to check, and she reciprocates contracting her limbs, still afraid of me, I guess. गलतिया, गलतिया और गलतिया... इतनी गलती करने के बाद खेद की भावना मुझे हर दिन डुबोये देती है. कभी पैसे खो देता हूँ और कभी मान. सबसे ज्यादा खटकता है तो समय का खोना. कभी कभी जाने अनजाने में मई ऐसा काम भी कर देता हु जिसे मैं ढिंढोरा पीटकर, सुर ताल के साथ लोगो को मना करता हूँ करने के लिए. ये दो तरफी काम मुझे बाद में खाय लेता है. और फिर सब कुछ होने के बाद, मैं इस सोच में डूब जाता हूँ की मुझे क्या करना चाहिए था. बक्वासी का शिकार होना कहते है इसे. दो बार गलती स्वीकार है मुझे. किसी भी गलती को तीसरी बार दोहराना मूर्खता है. इससे ये भी मालुम होता है की आप या तो आलसी है, या जवाबदेह होने से कतराते है, या तो आपमें अनुसाशन की कमी है. गए हुए समय को वापस लाना अभी तक तो संभव नहीं हुआ है. परन्तु आने वाले कार्य को किस तरह से किया जाए की इसमें त्रुटियों की मात्रा कम से कम हो? ये निर्भर है की आप पिछली गलतियों को कितनी जल्दी विलाप की प्रितिक्रिया से निकाल कर, उसमे नमक और मिर्ची छिड़कर उसका सेवन कर लेते है... अर्थात उसे भूल जाते है. विलाप केवल एक जहर है और जहर को जितनी देर अपने करीब रखेंगे ये केवल फैलेगा ही. ...

सुबह होने वाली थी. करीब करीब ४ बज गए थे. नींद तो आने से थी और इंटरनेट की गति खूब साथ दे रही थी. एकाएक एहसास हुआ की जल्दी नहीं सोया तो सुबह खराब हो जायेगी. इसलिए कमरे की बत्ती बुझाई और लैपटॉप के कार्यक्रम को इस्थगित किया. मूत्र विसर्जन के पश्चात कमरे में वापस आकर पंखे की गति तेज की. फिर अपने फ्लोर में पड़े हुए गद्दे की ओर आत्मीयता से बढ़ा. इन सब के दौरान, अपने मोबाइल फ़ोन को हाथ में ही रखा. ऐसे ही आदत से मजबूर था और अब तो मोबाइल फ़ोन जिस्म का एक अंग बन चुका है. अब मै बिस्तर के गले लग चूका था. लेकिन नींद का एहसास अभी भी नहीं हो रहा था. सोच में था की आज नींद क्यों नहीं आ रही. कहा रह गयी, अब तक तो आ जाती थी. जब और समय बीता तो बेचैन होकर मोबाइल को पुनः उठाकर उसमे समय देखना चाहा. देखा की ५ मिनट गुजर गए है बिस्तर को गले लगाए हुए और आँखें बंद होना नहीं चाहती थी. चूँकि मोबाइल को हाथ में ले ही लिया है तो क्यों न एक बार फेसबुक और इंस्टाग्राम में अधिसूचना पढ़ लू, शायद किसी ने याद किय हो, सोच कर मोबाइल डेटा चालू किया और इससे एक एड्रेनालाईन रिलीज़ होने वाला एहसास हुआ. थोड़ा अलग दौर है, अब जब नींद न...

The recent mob lynching case at Manipur involving a victim of 26 years of age who was an MBA from Bangalore & has been an entrepreneur running his own beverage company is shocking as the video of his brutally beaten, injury covered body lying conscious and in pain, surrounded by “sight-seeing” crowd and chattering like flies. This all has happened in the presence of police personnel in uniform & carrying their weapon. Today I was talking with my younger sister in the 9 th  standard. We were discussing regarding her studies. Later I told her about my own study plans to which she surprisingly said, “Till when are you going to study?”, “you will get old doing studies”, and “you have now got the job, why are you leaving it?”… I had similar questions in my mind when I was younger, perhaps at her age.
