Societal coexistence

We live in a civil society which refers to a civilized group where diverse kind of people stays. To the finite population, the finite resources have to be made avail so that peace, harmony & sustainable life can be maintained. Human beings are supposed to be the most intelligent creatures on Earth and each one of us are thinking. Generally, the thought process of the people is greatly affected by the environment they are staying in and are a part of. All of us think differently. To us, violence & nonviolence is a different subject. Although in a cosmopolitan society, where people from various environments have come together, coexistence is a challenging task.

We are the witness of the digital revolution which has given globalization its truest support in such a short period of time. An idea so spreads that it influences the aspect of living and tries to break the conservatism in a particular society. It is a new kind of culture. There are different strata in a society which has evolved & set its operating principles over passed civilizations. Religion is the base of many such principles. Many a times, religion and economy of the individual is linked and so is one of the reasons for conservatism to exist. Conservatism restricts the individual freedom of an individual. Look at the condition of animals on the planet. Instead of that, they coexist with humans, they are selfishly tagged as a potential resource for the benefit of humans. If they think less than human, do we possess any right of harming them? Is it that love and compassion is just the dogma that certain people promote & the true nature of human beings is violence & selfishness?

A person’s thoughts reflect on his action. What if there is fear in someone’s head? Our lives are shaped by what we fear the most. How to uphold a just environment? What is a just environment? It might be an equal opportunity for all based on their field of expertise looking to the fact that the effect so generated through it is least harming to the ecology or the environment. Forgotten with consumerism, we have been dumping millions of tons plastic waste material into the aquatic world & the brunt of that is slowly translating. We need to work on the imbalance so created because we consume more than nature actually regenerates. When do we foresee a world which is armless & conflicts less?

Fortunately enough there have been some organizations at the international level like the United Nations which are trying to define the world with the help of surveys and establishing common norms for a foreseeable future. Only time will reveal what lies ahead...
