To the distant cloud
At a distance
Over the hills
Beyond the green
Hang some clouds free
While yellow light trying to penetrate,
I understand that it is still daytime
Through the sea of hazy clouds
And these plains which are lying vacant
Inducing my mind
To reside along
However here I am
Peeking through my cage
Reading days, page by page
Hoping but hoping nothing
Soothing but soothing nothing
What I do of my age
How I break this cage
To become the cloud
And cross these bounds
Wait, wait O distant clouds
Pick me up
Also set my pace
Don't make me drown
Here I wear no crown
At a distance
Over the hills
Beyond the green
Hang some clouds free
Over the hills
Beyond the green
Hang some clouds free
While yellow light trying to penetrate,
I understand that it is still daytime
Through the sea of hazy clouds
And these plains which are lying vacant
Inducing my mind
To reside along
However here I am
Peeking through my cage
Reading days, page by page
Hoping but hoping nothing
Soothing but soothing nothing
What I do of my age
How I break this cage
To become the cloud
And cross these bounds
Wait, wait O distant clouds
Pick me up
Also set my pace
Don't make me drown
Here I wear no crown
At a distance
Over the hills
Beyond the green
Hang some clouds free
