Plant tho

It is quite proven that plants and trees are living beings. When we read about them they are rather categorized as a mechanical living being, we will list their benefits for the earth and the humans, we will talk about their wood usage, usages in medicine and so on. But then, what’s wrong with the vegetarians? Why can’t we accept that eating vegetables and fruits is quite a part of killing a living being? Isn’t it similar? What difference does it make to eat an animal than a plant, which may not showcase its feelings, its cry, and its tears, although it may very well feel the same! It takes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen in the process of making its own food. That means, they vie for a living. As Mahavira said, ‘all beings long to live’, they are just the same. Taking this and when looking at the large scale deforestation in the previous century, it may very well be called a silent genocide. Does this earth belongs to humans and the rest of the living beings are meant to serv...

Disease or not

"I am suffering from a disease of stardom and possibly it is the cause of my present situation. First of all, what this disease is about? It is about the constant feeling of standing out from everyone else. It is when a person excessively uses the word 'I'. It is when someone keeps feeling that he is special and he must have some godly supernatural capability and that wherever he will go, he will be successful. It is practically a state of paranoia which as far as I understand is a crisis among a large number of masses. For me, it has ruined me. Unnecessary and for no reason I embarked on journeys to prove myself. But the problem is why do I have to prove myself and to whom? How has this feeling come into being in me? Like everything, it is again society. I am stupid and I have already lost a quarter of my life to nothing and in absolute zero. My existence is fruitless. But then whose existence is fruitful? Who is God? What makes people seek God, achieve Godliness and ho...

The education system of ranks

It is unilateral thinking to judge a student based on his rank in a particular examination. It does not fit well with the current system which is multidisciplinary in nature and even though there is a lack of diversity in quality across cities, towns, and villages. The student’s socio-economic background is completely out of the picture in this system of ranking people. No relative progress is observed. More so, if the student genuinely not interested in detailed studies, society will ensure that he will be shamed. This is done by hailing the toppers and the students who even scored moderately will lose their worth. The biggest drawback is that somewhere from inside the student is shattered and his confidence lay low. The toppers will make them feel so & teachers, relatives will push this down the throat by continuous reminders, biased attitude and so on. There is no sync and it is systematically designed to act like this every single year. No one cares how much guidance the s...

The current state

A few minutes ago, I received a greeting from an uncle of my native town. It was about the birth anniversary of one of the Gods. To be very frank, I felt less concerned. It has been coming to me that we, the dwellers of Earth, in the quest of saving the religion, have been desperately pushing for it, knowingly-unknowingly how the current new generation would take it. Religion has always been important and I believe it has always evolved as well. Through time, all the previous forms are now accepted as one of the sects of the religion for a particular religion. I mean, the evolution which would be occurring in the previous times must also be met with angry conservative ones who protested for the status quo and no change in the norms, because they are most accustomed to It – they are most comfortable to be. This also implies that whatever I believe now may stand up as conservative to the future generation and they would think differently of me and my values. Pushing for the ideology g...

A degree for being a politician

Want to be an engineer, get an engineering degree; want to be a doctor, do MBBS and similar degrees; want to be a lawyer, study law; want to be a politician, what do you need to do? Well in such cases they quote fundamental right of equality! They think that just about any person is eligible to be a politician in the country irrespective of his educational qualifications, his political views, his understanding of the basic ethos and critical concepts of the constitution and so on. A person who himself is not aware of such intricacies are left on the field, armed with constitutional backing to support him and the result is what all we see today – radical, thoughtless speeches, unaccountable and irresponsible remarks that are also setting an example for the masses, more so the unemployed one who has immense time in their account. Isn’t it disgraceful? Every other profession feels the compulsion of getting into a formal academy, be it singer, a sportsperson, an artist, a manager and ye...

Defense V/s other Professions

It is an honor to work under the direct badge of the country’s flag. Security of the nation is one of the important factors and hence there are defense forces, police departments, and administrators. They are no doubt are the matter of great pride for the countrymen, as equally as other professions within the boundary of the nation and as well for the NRIs away from the country premises. I mean, we all work for the nation. We all collectively are the pillar upholding the country in the international arena and as well in the intellect of the world. If manual scavengers leave his job even for a day, it is a national crisis; if farmers do not cultivate, people will die of hunger and the economy will plunder to buy food from outside; if engineers and doctors do not work, people will start praying to God for their day-to-day worries and problems. We are all the building block of the entire nation and even if a brick is missing from the building, it is a loophole for its integrity. Trade...
