Biggest Threat to Humanity – Moral Crisis or Climate Change?

To decide upon something like Moral crisis which is a subjective issue that prevails among the public and also it is indicative of the net consciousness of the society or the country as a whole. Germans, for example, behaved barbarically after they were led by the Hitler against the jews. The genocide that took place during the WW2 era in Germany could have been avoided if Germans would not have followed the Hitler blindly. They did anyway and hence the crisis was made possible. The ongoing casualties suffered by the humanity in the middle east is more than just the result of the moral crisis. Terrorism is relative here & it is imperative for all of us to know about its history. We all know about the Afghan revolution, Shia Sunni base conflict & the hatred which has evolved is man made & more of externally influenced. Then the common public can touch the nerve at any point of time & term it as terrorism. We all have equal access to the religious texts, not only does the terrorist organizations but they have been able to present the idea according to their need. Again masses are blindfolded led & we are seeing genocide. Moral crisis is subjective as well as its values vary with region, hence so the villain of one country can be the hero of the enemy country. Who decides what is better and how will it be decided? Is it something we will decide based on consensus or referendum? With the global literacy rate of 86.3% but again the quality and the context of the same is country dependent.

What is the moral crisis? What are the morals? In which context is it spoken? Talking of India, a country which has never had any history of invading first to any area of foreign land. We are largely recognized as a nation with peaceful motive. Our bureaucrats through various platforms have been conveying their voice against terrorism. Tibet is no secret to the world. We know it is forcefully captured by the China & the repressive policies over there have been causing political upright in the region and this is also leading to migration, such as India is currently giving accommodation to Dalai Lama and some of other Buddhist scholars. What about J&K. Is it moral in India’s context to not have reached into any solution for J&K? Diplomacy and talks between nation are welcome but not at the cost of decades and the development of the region. Even now, discussing the subject of JK, we are not clear. I am sure if a referendum is held if we want J&K to continue to be India’s integral part, Indians irrespective of the people from J&K will vote in favor of it...

I see, climate change more related to moral responsibility. Currently, we are seeing the adverse affect of climate change in the form of increased level of pollution, haphazard and non-regulated deforestation & the effect of the same on the biodiversity of the region. It is ignorance. Ignorance is one form of moral crisis. Discipline is the opposite of it. Polluting our rivers, increased allocation of coal instead of the use of renewable energy will have their long term implications...

Moral crisis will include all kind of corruptions, actions which lead to disharmony in climate, misguiding the mass for selfish reasons,
