Happy Earth Day

Oh wow! It’s Earth Day! Yes, every year this day as on 22nd April is celebrated where worldwide events are held to demonstrate favor support of environment protection. But the so-called politics and the Indian public is terrible at understanding little things. World’s Environmentalists and thinkers have been trying to aware people through many innovative ways. Yes the intensity of it is high in media these days although in some less useful way. The problem with Indians is that many of us are hypocrites, Yes HYPOCRITES! Why? I tell you why. How many has any problem with the fact and have the awareness that deforestation has reached on another level? I hardly see any, no we are busy in many other trivialities. We through plastics in the streets in such an unforgivable way and we don't even think how these small events could structure our environment but we are going to wish the people “Happy Earth Day” on FB & WHATSAPP, some will even change their profile picture. I am not saying that we all are like that. No, it can’t be, otherwise it would get hard to survive. It is these some who terribly understand the Earth as their own property. Such is the growing level of the brand activities that we do for which we have to stick God’s image tiles on the institutional or societal walls to prevent the walls from people who spit chewed Gutkha and leave the wall ashamed.

Yes, I feel that the problem is growing. I live around the equator where the percentage of Sun’s ray falling to earth is way maximum from the poles. We will have to face the direct effect of the Global Warming. Past some years we are observing that winter is getting shorter and summer is getting severe with meagre & erratic rain falls on unexpected lands. Why is the fishing taking place at such a pace that is leaving many species on the verge of extinction? I question, where is the government? Where is the ruling authority? I feel bad when someone quote that they could not change their lifestyles just because of Global Warming. People who try to pollute the environment should be prohibited to enter in those zones; they don’t deserve to stand over at that piece of land. 30% of the Indian land has already turned to deserts and it is increasing. Many places are under severe draughts. Do you hear? The problem is serious. There is a small girl away from your luxuries who is walking miles "daily" and wait in a long queue to fetch water for everyday purposes from that single un-dried lake around the village and that too naked leg at peak hot summer.

No, I know that you haven’t gathered enough time to peak out of your AC car window to the poor children around the traffics. In a single exotic wedding we waste enough quantity of food as these parties don’t have any estimate of people. The leftover food is thrown at the garbage to rot aside. In many metro cities, water supply regulation has severely been started. The cost of the usable and the drinkable water has been increasing and the thought is so big & disturbing that it does not go down below to my throat. In water-scarce places entrepreneurs are inventing lotions that can be used as an alternative to bathing with water! No, I guess you haven't heard of it.

It is time that all of us people start to understand the problem bit more early that climate change is real but the effects of the same is more real as can be seen in the erratic behavior of the climate change, excess rain and snow falls , draughts , earthquakes, tornados and the volcanoes. We must understand that we have to plant more trees to support ourselves with fresh air and stable adaptable climate. Take Care that you do not get dehydrated on a sunny day!

At last, “Happy Earth Day
