Amazing experience with overflowing & overblowing mountains, I am talking about today’s Panchgani cycle ride. I luckily got in touch with Mr. Sameer through a Whatsapp group, older in age yet much fitter than me! We decided to meet at Bibwewadi chowk by 4:30AM, so that we can drive to Khandala in the car, loading our bicycles in the rack. We expected to start kick start peddling by 6AM. I have never woke up 3 ‘O’ clock in the morning for any ride preparation. For that, I slept by 9:45PM the night before. I had set multiple alarms to avoid delay but somehow I woke up before my alarm started screaming. Took an immediate shower, dressed up in my cycle suit (I love it!) & I was soon peddling towards the meeting point. We met in time. Pune is an amazing place to do cycling. It has so many places nearby to ride and one can go in any direction and return with some memories to cherish! सरकती हुई शाम, अँधेरे की बाहों में झुलझता हुआ ये मेरा मन थकी थकी सी आँखें पलकें उठाकर, घूरता रहा मै, बड़ी देर तक, बेबस सा डूबते सूरज की ओर चाहता था की शाम बनी रहे ऐसे ही ऐसे ही ये कसमकस कायम रहे ऐसे ही, आँखों से बता रहा था जाते सूरज को मना रहा था रुक जा थोड़ा, ऐसे ही वो भी थका थका था कम दमक रहा था ये लालिमा आसमान में अभी उतरी नहीं है पूरी तरह से मन में और फिर अभी वक़्त ही कितना हुआ है तो क्या की सर्दी आ गयी थोड़ा ठहर जा, मेरे लिए कोहरे की चादर भी आ रही, तुम्हारे जाते जाते कब रात ने आसमान ओढ़ लिया कब तुम धीरे धीरे सरक गए पहाड़ों के पीछे चाँद को भेजकर अपनी कमी पूरी कर रहे हो? हां ये तुम्हारी ही रौशनी है मालुम है मुझे।

It’s true when people say that they are not feeling God in present times. While I am not so sure about the past as I am myself new to this world but we can estimate from history and from the storytellers, the spiritual life people used to live in past times. Although it was coupled with some amount of superstition and its side effects, what I am talking about is the inner satisfaction. Illiteracy can be blamed for the prevailing superstition but globalization has helped a lot. Well not so while ago when I was a child, it was still the time without Whatsapp and Facebook. We are all addicted to these now and it has 'transformed' people. Addicted because it has become our need now. We could not catch up with the latest developments if we refuse to change along. Yesterday I was commuting along with my colleague through the Deccan and we were talking only very soon to our realization we are met with something unordinary. A traffic police officer was dragging a "young" man by his collar. He was being dragged when we saw that his body language wanted to discuss instead. We stopped and Prasad soon took out his camera to shoot. Someone told the police that he is being recorded and we saw him softening down, later we had to run the accelerator to get past and then we were discussing how much power do social media possess. First of all, it is an unwelcome attitude in the officer’s part to have resorted to violence with a young person (although I am not proclaiming to have it on others) looking the long-term effect in his attitude towards his future.
